Dow AgroSciences has an immediate opening for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Office Professional for our facility in West Lafayette, IN. 

Responsibilities:
* Maintain supplies, inventory and preparation and tracking of purchase orders that support research activities.
* Maintain and/or improve the documentation filing systems in the facility.
* Manage purchase orders in collaboration with headquarter office and suppliers.
* Identify and negotiate with service providers.
* Plan and organize meetings and events.
* Work with Human Resources office for interviewing, hiring and on-boarding logistics.
* Assist with national and international travel arrangements for employees.
* Attend phone lines, distribute phone calls and manage of correspondence.
* Serve as the wellness and health representative for the facility.
* Prepare confidential documents and communications.
* An Associate's Degree or higher in Office Administration, Office Management or other business discipline is required.
* A minimum of 2 years previous successful experience in an office professional, administration, or documentation management role is required
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with diverse environments and a can do attitude.
* Highly proficient with network calendars Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
* Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
* Experience working for research organizations.
* Familiarity with the use of database to maintain inventory or procurement is a plus.

Dow AgroSciences Trait Product Development R&amp;D is looking for a Research Assistant – Dicot Plant Transformation for our Purdue Research Park facility in West Lafayette, Indiana. The selected candidate will be part of a team responsible for the production of plants via tissue culture and transformation that interacts closely with other functions in DowAgrosciences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Supporting production of transgenic plants and cell cultures in a high throughput environment. 
* Performing laboratory procedures following standard protocols with limited supervision. 
* Testing of technical improvements related to cell culture and transformation. 
* Supporting interrelated activities to advance transgenic plants in product development, including sample preparation, sample tracking, and advancing plants to the greenhouse. 
* Support preparation of a variety of high quality plant tissue culture media, explants and preparation of Agrobacterium cultures for Transformation.
* Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Agronomy, Biochemistry or related area is required.
* Laboratory experience in genetic transformation of crop plants with working knowledge of plant transformation, plant tissue culture,Agrobacteriumhandling is a requirement.
* Working knowledge in Molecular biology experience in standard technologies (DNA extraction, PCR, Southern blotting, etc) is a plus.
* Commitment to safety and teamwork in the workplace is required.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams is highly desired. 
* Basic knowledge of standard information technologies in a research environment (Basic computer literacy, software, databases, lab systems etc.) is required.
* Demonstration of strong personal leadership, initiative and accountability to deliver against project goals is essential for success.

Trait Product Development R&amp;D is seeking a dynamic Greenhouse Technical Assistant experienced in greenhouse operations to support biotechnology research to be conducted at ourWest Lafayette, INgreenhouse facility. 

Responsibilities will include: 
* Assisting in the operation of a greenhouse facility in support of R&amp;D teams and projects within Dow AgroSciences:
* Assist in the general operation including space planning and maintenance of the greenhouse supply inventory.
* Production of high quality plant and seed materials including plant trait isolation, seed processing, storage
* Devitalization of plant material.
* Support the introgression of transgenic traits into elite germplasm
* Prepare the crossing plans.
* Support pollinations for various trait projects.
* Development of new introgression strategies.
* Participate in the improvement of greenhouse infrastructure or processes as needed.
* Work with greenhouse management team to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
* Associate or Bachelor degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering or a related field required.
* Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience in plant management is required.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, attention to detail, and fully embrace safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance guidelines are essential for success.
* Working knowledge and understanding of daily operations related to plant growth areas and familiarity with greenhouse lighting, watering, fertilization, pest control and greenhouse environmental control systems are expected.
* Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule is required. 
* Ability to perform physical labor under greenhouse conditions, including lifting 50 lbs and tolerating high temperatures for brief periods is required.
* Experience with the use of databases to maintain/track seed inventories, plant production, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
* Problem-solving skills and desire to continually improve methods for plant production.
* Supervisory experience is advantageous.
