The Glycol-2 Plant has an opportunity for a Quality Coordinator for both the Specialty Alkanolamines (Amines) and Ethylene Oxide (EO) assets. This role ensures that the plant/department quality processes, programs and tools are robust and functional and in alignment with Business expectations. The role leads and executes the Manage Product Quality (MPQ) work process as required to achieve the plant's quality goals and to ensure customer satisfaction. In addition, the selected candidate will fill the Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) Coordination Role for the Glycol-2 Plant. The ODMS Coordinator ensures compliance with Business and Company ODMS requirements (self-assements, Management System Reviews, etc...).
  

Responsibilities:

* The Quality Coordinator serves as a knowledge center for product, service and process information to be used in the following areas: A. Key contact for marketing and sales, including direct contact with the customer. B. Contact for other Dow functions, I.E., Code Systems, TS&amp;D, Product Safety and Compliance, Field Distribution, etc. May participate in outside trade organizations, such as ASTM. Communicates information on regulatory actions affecting assigned products.

Ensures plant Operating Discipline meets quality requirements.
* Serves as focal point for the quality requirements of the ODMS at plant/department level.
* 
Implements and maintains the business/site quality programs which align to the MPQ Business Quality Strategy at the plant/department level.
* 
Implements and maintains compliance with local regulations related to quality (e.g. current Good Manufacturing Practices - cGMP, ...).
* 
Reviews and revises metrics/measurements that monitor plant quality performance.
* 
Trains and provides guidance to plant personnel on the use of MPQ supporting tools and processes to achieve plant/department goals.
* 
Identifies and leads improvement opportunities as determined through customer audits, Six Sigma projects, and other quality-related programs.
* 
Leads plant/department quality problem-solving efforts as determined through the Corrective Action Management Process, the Root Cause Investigation Process, and customer feedback.

Establishes and manages the plant/department quality system audit program, in conjunction with Business or Site strategies.
* 
Conducts audits of the site facilities, including plants, labs, and warehouses and other central facilities and functions as applicable. To monitor conformance to the procedures and policies necessary to assure the product and service quality for assigned products and to assure that appropriate back-up data exists to verify the quality of the product.

Participates in the review of plant/department projects having a potential impact on product quality.

Works with business and plant personnel to introduce new products.
* 
Participates in business, site, and plant/department quality system networks, as applicable.

Establishes annual ODMS Self-Assessment Schedule and monitors performance against schedule.

Coordinates / facilitates Management System Review with Business ODMS leader.

The job requires a "hands on" technician applying expertise daily in those areas to insure the safe and reliable operation of the site process plants to maximize production as well as to maintain the lowest long term cost of ownership of the site facilities.

This candidate will also be required to mentor the contract electricians in the assigned maintenance area when necessary.
Must be available for call-ins, plant turnarounds and some overtime. Availability for weekend call and holdover overtime is an expectation of the job.
The successful candidate will function independently as the Maintenance Electrical Technologist within the department assigned.
Individual must be physically able to work in the field including but not limited to climbing ladders, scaffold, stairs and lifting (Not to exceed 50 lbs.)
Individual must possess a certain degree of manual dexterity.

High School diploma or GED is required.

Plant Operations:
Daily operations will consist of the management and coordination of railcars through the site wash and maintenance facilities. This role will interface with business focal points to set priorities and establish work schedules. In addition incumbent will use computer based systems to update rail fleet statuses, submit work request associated with maintenance activities, compliance tasks and manage operating discipline procedures.

This role may also consist of management and coordination of track maintenance repairs throughout the site; daily accountability for railroad track repairs, prioritization of work, and overall productivity of multiple track crews. 

Environmental:
Environmental duties will include but not limited to the following: 
* Handling and packaging generated hazardous waste
* Monitoring operating systems daily for any problems
* Handle partial loaded tank and hopper cars at wash rack
* Execute daily Environmental Round Sheet and waste water management.
* A High School Diploma / GED is required
* At least 3 years of chemical manufacturing, plant operation or logistics experience is required
