Dow AgroSciences is seeking a visionary and experienced Leader for the Fermentation Development Group to enable Dow AgroSciences to deliver against its ambitious growth strategy, especially in Agro-Biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities:
* Advance our existing fermentation development capability to meet the needs of a diverse and growing R&D organization; especially in fermentation based products like insecticides and fungicides
* Build, develop and maintain a high performing team of fermentation experts that is aligned to the strategy of Dow and DAS that spans from R&D to manufacturing
* Provide technical leadership to the existing team, including 2 fermentation laboratories and multiple scientists and serve as an administrative leader for the expanding group
* Interface and work with multiple internal customers in different parts of the organization, including balancing competing priorities
* Monitor and implement emerging technology and capability offerings to accelerate strategic objectives, build and maintain an external network to external collaboration partners
* Represent the Fermentation Development Group internally and externally

* PhD with 6-10 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) of industrial fermentation process development is a must.
* Experience in leading teams in a complex environment
* Track record of successful project management and leadership of fermentation based product development
* Technically understand all aspects of bioproduct development and its industry
* Downstream process development experience is an advantage
* Understanding of Systems Biology, Proteomics and mathematical modeling of bioprocesses
* A highly interactive operational style, capable to working in multidisciplinary teams
* Capable to develop a strategy and drive the implementation with the demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders
