Learn more atwww.dowagro.com.\n\nU.S. Crop Protection R&D is seeking a Field Scientist for the Coastal States to: (1) plan and implement field research and development programs to validate the field performance of new molecules from the discovery pipeline and new product concepts; (2) recognize future marketplace needs and influence the development of new product concepts; and (3) develop and maintain effective relationships with academic and private research collaborators, key customers, and other centers of influence; and characterizes new products through self-initiated field trials.\n\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n\u00b7     Plan and implement field research programs to validate the performance of new molecules from the discovery pipeline and new product concepts in development.\n\u00b7     Develop research proposals, including protocols with interpretive intent and resource needs, for assigned key questions per the documented process.\n\u00b7     Implement the latest methods for experimental design and interpretive analysis to address questions within the scope of the product characterization process.\n\u00b7     Establish research relationships with university and consultant cooperators. \n\u00b7     Identify new business opportunities for Dow AgroSciences, keep abreast of market trends, and influence development of new products.\n\u00b7     Develop and maintain key contacts within the technical community (university, extension, federal and state agencies, natural resource non-governmental organizations, and industry/commodity associations).     \n\u00b7     Promote proper use of Dow AgroSciences products through development and delivery of product stewardship programs.\n\u00b7    A minimum of a Masters degree in entomology, weed science, agronomy or plant pathology is required.
